FLOAT SCHOOL OF ART.

After six years of art making, exhibitions and dozens of Artists in Residence visiting our community, FLOAT is thinking that it’s time to start our own Art School.

It will focus on observing the nature around us, exploring all kinds of media – depending on students’ preferences. From nature journaling and videography, to digital platforms A/R and V/R. From pottery to  printmaking to textiles – we are up for all suggestions.

We lament the loss of arts education opportunities here in East Gippsland and hope to turn that around, with our local and visiting artists, local venues and a fabulous Art School team.

We asked Amy Allender (17 year old local LTB Newsletter illustrator) what she would do – if she could design her ideal Art School. And this is what it looked like.
