FLOAT
LAKE TYERS BEACH

FLOAT EVENTS

20 - 26 November
Gippsland arts and social change organisations  FLOAT and Wurinbeena host a potent mix of Aboriginal artists, and innovators and performers from Indonesia, for a week packed with ideas, collaboration, and performance.

Indonesia non-profit organization Kopernik, best known for innovative technologies, and one of Bali’s top bands and environmental campaigners Navicula, will join Australian Aboriginal artists Kutcha Edwards and Robbie Bundle for a special week of community exchanges in late November. This culminates in the Future Forum at Lake Tyers Beach Hall on Saturday November 25.  On Sunday join The FLOAT paddle to Bee Camp on Lake Tyers, enjoy an installation and artist talk by Josephine Jakobi. The final event is in Lakes Entrance where Navicula the Green Grunge Gentleman from Bali are joined by leading songmen Kutcha and Robbie with local artists to celebrate from 6pm at the Mechanics Hall.

“International and regional exchange is so vital. We’ve been trialling models of economic development suited to our communities, and exploring creative environmental stewardship. Working with Kopernik and Navicula is a deeply exiting opportunity.”
